Well here we are in the middle of the Winter blahs. I happen to be home for the second day in a row playing Mr. Mom. Our son Angelo projectile vomited 2 minutes prior to Mom and Dad's rare night out on the town last Saturday and it's been a wild time ever since. As sicknesses and families go, the stomach flu has spread throughout our house save for me, the lucky one.
Angelo is back at school today and hopefully at about 90% or better, so today I have the little one. Gia and I took Angelo to school and then went to Hy-Vee with all the other stay at home Mom's to compare recipes and trade coupons. I'm kidding, staying at home is no joke. Running a household with babies and kids hanging around is comparable to one of those shows with the chimpanzees dressed like humans...nothing quite turns out right.
Anyhow, it's been ok for the last two days. I enjoyed hanging with my son yesterday and today I get to be with Gia one on one. We made home-made chicken stock and cut up veggies so they're ready to eat, did piles upon piles of laundry, did our best to disinfect the place and now I think we might take a trip to Menard's. This old house leaks cold air like a sieve and it gets irritating when the high is around 7 above.
Oh well, I'm just writing endlessly to no one, but it's an outlet. Spring if you're out there....We're ready!
